Coastal Gemini Motorhome - Margaret & Tony Pengelly

"White Lightening"

Four and a half years ago, we were on the lookout for a new motorhome.

We knew what we wanted, the layout etc. We decided to look local, hence a trip to Whakatane to take our plans to Coastal Motorhomes.     "Give us a couple of days to think about this", was the answer. "Yes, we would like the challenge".

During the building of our motorhome we were always in contact with the builder, nothing was too much trouble, and if what we wanted was not possible, we were given an alternative.

We have had our 7.9 metre motorhome now for over four years, and still liking what we bought. The after sales service has been excellent, both Paul and Toni have grown into their jobs now that Mike has let the reins go just a little bit!

A very nice family to deal with.

Thank you Coastal.

Margaret & Tony's Gemini

Margaret & Tony Pengelly came to us with a special layout in mind that we had yet to build but had been throwing the idea around with our builder. We were pleased for the opportunity to have a crack at it.  It was a bit longer than we were used to doing and we were excited to build our first Mercedes motorhome.

It was great fun designing the van around the Pengelly's requests. This is also, to this day, the widest van we have on the road, and certainly noticable from inside with oodles of room, the spacious effect is also exagerated by a full size mirror on the back of the bathroom door.  Because of the overall width and height we needed to fit an 12V electric F65 awning to the roof.
