We have had our HILLTOP THREDBO for 4 months and absolutely love all the features, layout and extras and the overall finished product. They certainly know how to build fabulous caravans at Hilltop in Aussie.
We purchased our Thredbo from Toni and Paul at COASTAL MOTORHOME’S AND CARAVAN in WHAKATANE and they were amazing to deal with, we couldn’t be happier with their service.
There are so many extra features and I love having so many draws and cupboards and that there is a solid wooden door between the living area and Bedroom (as my hubby goes to bed early), the bed is soooo comfortable and easy to make.
The awning is huge and easy to put up and down. There are so many double plugs and USB and car charging ports, and if all the lights are on it lights up like a spaceship. There was no shortcuts with the electrics, that’s for sure.
The Bathroom with toilet has a door and over the other side of the caravan is a good sized shower also with its own door, which is a huge plus.
With our 2000w inverter we can still run the microwave, airfryer and washing machine off grid, charge eBike batteries etc, the inverter was an upgrade, but is well worth the money.
We also upgraded to:
2 x 150w Lithium Batteries
2 x 200w Solar Panels
2 X 100ltr fresh water tanks
Wifi caravan braking system with remote controller
We Upsized from a 24inch to a 28inch TV In the living area, where we also added Chrome cast to turn it into a smart TV
The Ibis 4 Air con is amazing and not too loud as I believe the earlier models were quite noisey.
Prior to purchasing our Thredbo we had a UK caravan and I was initially concerned about the extra towing weight, but with our Ford Ranger it tows beautifully and is well balanced. So it is a big thumbs up from us.
many people have admired our caravan and are amazed at the spaciousness and finish, telling us it is a stunning caravan. Hilltop caravans are a must.
